Overview

Dayara Bugyal is one of the most beautiful alpine meadow treks in Uttarakhand, famous for its vast open grasslands and stunning Himalayan views. Located in the Uttarkashi district, the trek reaches an altitude of approximately 12,100 ft and offers sweeping views of peaks such as Bandarpoonch, Srikanth, and the Gangotri range. During winters, Dayara Bugyal transforms into a snow-covered landscape, making it ideal for first-time snow trekkers.

Day-wise Itinerary

Day 0

Delhi to Dehradun

  • Departure from Delhi at 9:00 pm
  • Pick-up from Akshardham Metro Station
  • Overnight journey to Dehradun

Day 1

Dehradun to Raithal (Base Village)

  • Early morning arrival at Dehradun
  • Scenic drive to Raithal village via Uttarkashi
  • Check-in to homestay or guesthouse
  • Acclimatization walk around the village
  • Evening briefing by trek leader
Meals: Dinner

Day 2

Raithal to Gui Campsite

  • Early morning breakfast
  • Begin trek from Raithal towards Gui campsite
  • Gradual ascent through oak and rhododendron forests
  • Lunch during the trek
  • Reach Gui campsite by afternoon

Day 3

Gui to Dayara Bugyal to Dayara Top

  • Early morning breakfast
  • Trek towards Dayara Bugyal meadows
  • Walk across vast alpine grasslands
  • Continue to Dayara Top if weather permits
  • Enjoy panoramic views of Bandarpoonch and Gangotri ranges
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4

Descend to Raithal | Drive to Delhi

  • Early morning breakfast
  • Trek back to Raithal village (easy descent)
  • Drive back to Dehradun
  • Begin return journey to Delhi
  • Arrival in Delhi early morning (tentative)
