Please read these Terms carefully before booking or joining any trek, tour, yatra, expedition, or travel experience with Alpine Thrills.

1. Definitions

  • “Company” refers to Alpine Thrills.
  • “Participant” refers to any individual who books or joins a trip.
  • “Trip” includes treks, tours, yatras, expeditions, and organized travel experiences.
  • “Services” include accommodation, meals, transport, guides, coordination, and support as mentioned in the itinerary.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only after receipt of the required advance payment. Verbal confirmations are not binding.

2.2 Payment Terms

  • Advance payment percentage will be communicated at booking.
  • Full payment must be completed before departure as instructed.
  • Failure to clear balance may result in cancellation without refund of advance.

2.3 Pricing Structure

Trip cost includes only what is specifically mentioned in the itinerary under “Inclusions.”

Prices may change due to:

The final invoice amount must be paid before departure.

  • Fuel price fluctuations
  • Permit cost changes
  • Government taxes
  • Accommodation tariff revisions
  • Transport rate changes
  • Force majeure circumstances

3. Inclusions and Exclusions

3.1 Included Services

Only services explicitly listed in the confirmed itinerary are included.

3.2 Exclusions

Unless specifically mentioned, the following are excluded:

  • Lunch
  • Meals during transit
  • Snacks and personal food
  • Mineral water bottles
  • Soft drinks
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Personal expenses
  • Shopping
  • Entry tickets not mentioned
  • Insurance
  • Medical expenses
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Additional accommodation beyond itinerary
  • Any service not listed under inclusions

4. Meals Policy

4.1 Standard Meal Plan

Meals are provided at the accommodation where participants stay, including hotels, guesthouses, homestays, or tents.

Typically included:

  • Breakfast
  • Dinner

4.2 Transit Meals

Meals consumed during road journeys, sightseeing breaks, highway stops, or en route travel are not included unless specifically stated.

Participants are responsible for all such expenses.

4.3 Additional Orders

Any additional food, beverages, or special dietary requests beyond standard meal service shall be charged directly to the participant.

The Company is not responsible for food allergies or dietary restrictions unless disclosed in writing before departure.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Refund timelines may take 10 to 30 working days.

5.1 Cancellation by Participant

Unless otherwise specified in writing:

  • More than 30 days before departure: Booking amount partially refundable after administrative deductions
  • Less than 7 days before departure: 100 percent non refundable
  • No show: 100 percent non refundable

5.2 Non Refundable Situations

No refund shall be provided in case of:

  • Early exit from trip
  • Skipping activities voluntarily
  • Leaving the group
  • Illness during trip
  • Misconduct removal
  • Route modification due to weather
  • Government restrictions
  • Natural events
  • Personal emergencies

6. Itinerary and Participant Modifications

6.1 Operational Changes

The Company may modify the itinerary due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Landslides
  • Political instability
  • Road blockages
  • Safety risks
  • Operational requirements

6.2 Participant Requested Changes

Any request for:

Will incur additional charges. Such changes are subject to availability and operational feasibility.

  • Destination change
  • Additional sightseeing
  • Route deviation
  • Accommodation upgrade
  • Date modification
  • Transport upgrade
  • Additional nights

6.3 Voluntary Deviation

If a participant:

The remaining portion of the trip is strictly non refundable.

  • Leaves midway
  • Travels independently
  • Alters return plans
  • Separates from group

7. Medical Fitness and Health

Participants must disclose all pre existing medical conditions including:

Failure to disclose medical information releases the Company from liability.

Participants confirm they are physically fit for trekking and high altitude travel.

The Company reserves the right to deny participation if deemed medically unsafe.

Medical evacuation, hospitalisation, and related costs shall be borne entirely by the participant.

  • Cardiac issues
  • Respiratory conditions
  • Asthma
  • Hypertension
  • Diabetes
  • Epilepsy
  • Recent surgeries
  • Mental health conditions

8. Assumption of Risk

Participants acknowledge that mountain travel involves inherent risks including:

The Company, founders, employees, guides, and affiliates shall not be liable for injury, death, loss, or damage arising from inherent travel risks.

  • Slips and falls
  • Altitude sickness
  • Hypothermia
  • Wildlife encounters
  • Landslides
  • Weather unpredictability
  • Road accidents

9. Code of Conduct

Participants must:

Violation may result in immediate removal without refund.

  • Follow guide instructions at all times
  • Respect local customs
  • Avoid illegal substances
  • Refrain from violent or disruptive behaviour
  • Avoid alcohol misuse during treks

10. Insurance

The Company strongly recommends comprehensive travel and medical insurance.

Failure to obtain insurance is at the participant’s own risk.

The Company does not provide automatic insurance coverage unless explicitly stated.

11. Accommodation and Transport

Accommodation may vary depending on availability and terrain conditions.

Shared accommodation may be provided unless private rooms are booked.

Transport vehicles are arranged as per group size and operational needs.

The Company is not liable for delays caused by third-party providers.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Company’s liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific trip.
  • The Company is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
  • The Company is not responsible for loss of personal belongings.

13. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations due to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Floods
  • Landslides
  • Pandemic restrictions
  • Government orders
  • Civil unrest
  • War
  • Acts beyond reasonable control

14. Photography and Media

The Company may use photographs and videos captured during trips for marketing purposes unless written objection is submitted prior to departure.

15. Intellectual Property

All logos, content, photographs, branding, and website materials are the intellectual property of Alpine Thrills.

Unauthorized use is prohibited.

16. Institutional and Corporate Agreements

Separate contractual agreements may apply for institutional or corporate bookings. In case of conflict, the signed agreement shall prevail.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain enforceable.

19. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or participating in any trip organised by Alpine Thrills, the participant confirms:

  • Full understanding of these Terms
  • Voluntary acceptance of risks
  • Agreement to payment and refund policies
  • Agreement to abide by Company rules
