Overview
The Chopta–Tungnath–Chandrashila trek with Deoria Tal offers a well-rounded Himalayan experience that blends natural beauty, spiritual significance, and beginner-friendly trekking. Located in Uttarakhand's Garhwal region, Chopta is known for its alpine meadows, dense forests, and uninterrupted mountain views. The journey includes a trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, followed by an ascent to Chandrashila Summit, which provides stunning 360-degree views of prominent Himalayan peaks such as Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, and Trishul.
Day-wise Itinerary
Day 0
Delhi to Chopta
- Departure from Delhi at night around 9:30 to 10:30 pm
- Pick-up from Akshardham Metro Station
- Overnight journey towards Chopta
- Introduction and interaction with fellow travelers
Day 1
Devprayag & Dhari Devi | Arrival at Chopta
- Morning arrival at Devprayag
- Freshen up and breakfast
- Visit the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers
- En-route visit to Dhari Devi Temple
- Arrival at Chopta by evening
- Check-in at scenic campsite
- Evening snacks followed by bonfire and light music

Day 2
Tungnath and Chandrashila Trek
- Early morning wake-up, enjoy sunrise views
- Breakfast
- Drive to the trek starting point
- Trek to Tungnath Temple, approximately 4.5 km
- Continue trek to Chandrashila Summit
- Trek duration approximately 4 hours including breaks
- Return to Chopta by evening
- Bonfire and light music

Day 3
Deoria Tal and Return to Delhi
- Early morning breakfast
- Drive to Sari Village, approximately 30 minutes
- Trek to Deoria Tal
