Overview
The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in Hinduism, covering four revered shrines in Uttarakhand: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas, this spiritual journey combines devotion, Himalayan landscapes, river origins, and ancient temples. Traditionally undertaken in a clockwise direction, the yatra begins at Yamunotri, proceeds to Gangotri, then to Kedarnath, and concludes at Badrinath. This itinerary is carefully structured to allow gradual altitude gain, manageable travel days, and smooth darshan experiences, making it ideal for spiritual seekers and families alike.
